Bird Watching in Tymon Park

When Ms. Buckley’s first class went on their walk to Tymon Park we decided that it might be fun to do a species count on the way.

We chose birds as we thought that all the foxes, badgers and rabbits might be a bit shy during the daytime.

It was quite difficult to count the birds as they kept moving around but here are the results we arrived at as a class on our return.

Herons- 9
Crows- 1
Ducks- around 30
Geese- 6
Swans- 5
Magpies- 3
Seagulls- around 30

Here are several snap shots of the lake area where we did most of our bird counting.
